George Log Delimber Nigel George originally designed the first George delimber in 1993 building the first delimber in his garage at home for use with his own logging operation. Nigel has been involved in the logging industry since 1990 and saw the need for an affordable, cost effective way of delimbing trees. Within a year Nigel was looking at building and equipping a workshop for manufacture but knowing the fluctuations that the logging industry was experiencing was unsure if this would be a good investment. As a Gough's customer Nigel was aware that Gough Engineering could proficiently and skillfully innovate the delimber and with the Goughs network of customers, sales staff, and branch support, the product would have every advantage in the forestry equipment market.
Gough Engineering has now been manufacturing the George Delimber since 1994 and provides a quality product with full parts service and back up. Gough Engineering has added design features and improved the product wherever possible. The original pneumatic rams and power pack has long since been replaced by an efficient hydraulic system which can be retro fitted to pneumatic systems. The Delimber can be supplied with a static base or a wheeled base.
Nigel personally delivers the delimber to your site, showing you how this machine works and how to operate it effectively.
The George has the capacity of delimbing approximately 500 tonnes per day depending on tree type and conditions and is ideally suited for use with a 20-30 tonne excavator.
