Transmix Concrete Mixers

Over the years Gough Engineering Transmix concrete units have won an unequalled reputation. Their proven performance capability plus lower maintenance and operating costs have made them the leading choice with knowledgeable Australasian operators. Gough Engineering design and production expertise, backed by overseas technology, have been adapted to best serve New Zealand conditions. Transmix units are suitable for all sizes of operation being available in a full range of sizes one to eight cubic metres. The flexible transmission of power of the hydrostatic drive has simplified the construction and layout considerably enabling a better weight distribution and higher load carrying capacity.

Bowl
Constructed of Medium Strength Plate. Dished and flanged end plate. Accurately machined rolling surface on trunnion ring. Flighting and mixing blades fabricated from 3mm and 5mm plate respectively Two 400mm x 300mm access panels. Chassis Ruggedly constructed trunnion roller support structure. Bowl drive mounting pedestal doubles as hydraulic oil tank (65 litre).

Chute
Swivel chute and attached folding chute from 3mm and 2mm MS Plate respectively Two extension chutes 1200mm and 900mm supplied as standard. Discharge radius of 4.3 metres through 1800 possible using all chutes. Simple height adjusting with hydraulic pump/ ram unit. Convenient chute storage and restraint during transit.

Bowl Control
Simple one-lever control of bowl speed and direction of rotation. Convenient engine throttle at rear of unit. Duplication of control system in truck cab, Automatic bowl lock in neutral eliminating runback.

Painting
Each unit cleaned, degreased and primed ready for finishing. Specified final painting to customers colours is available as an optional extra.

Performance
A charging rate of 3 cubic metres per minute is possible while no slump concrete can be discharged at .75 cu metre per minute.

Axle Loadings
As the size and weights of trucks vary with each make and model, the axle loadings obtainable vary accordingly. Gough Engineering will provide as part of their Inquiry Service, information on the Load Carrying Capacity of any unit when the type of customers truck is known.
